剧情介绍
Zubaan depicts a young man who searches for the real values in life and his true self. Born to a poor Punjab family, Dilsher moves to the big city in hopes of success. He pays a visit to the corporate head Gurcharan Sikand, who he met as a child, and starts working for him. Dilsher gains Gurcharan’s trust but is belittled by Gurcharan’s son and wife. He then becomes close to Amira, a singer traumatized by her brother’s death. After much awaited success, Dilsher suddenly questions life’s important values under the mental influence and legacy of his father and music. Now, what decision will Dilsher make?

#BIFF# 开幕电影。很多配料（元素）——MTV式/宗教意味的歌舞，父亲（及其缺席）、偶像（之幻灭）及寻找自我（延续传统）、melodrama式的反转、命运的镜像（Amira）。总之是很多cliche加一点点新意。不过作为处女作长片是及格了。

20thbiff开幕影片--媒体场放完以后大家都发出了尴尬的笑声，实在摸不透釜山的策展逻辑，为什么要选择一部宝莱坞标准歌舞类型片作为开幕电影呢？影片多多少少表达着一种身份困惑以及身份困境“传统身份的丧失-为了发展不顾一切地抢夺-接受本来的民族身份”,但也说不通，总之选这部片子开幕真有勇气啊
